(MP2) Project 6B: Gradient Last Name

Image
I started with adding the text of my last name and making it fit the entire screen. I created a six color gradient  (shown above) and set this gradient as the color of the text. I went into the layer style of the text and added a  13px black border outside the text, as well as adding a smooth inner bevel onto the text. I then created a  rainbow gradient and added a small text of my first name with that gradient, then selected it and added it as a  pattern across the entire background. I used my previous black-cyan-white gradient as the very back background  layer across the entire image. I created a brush with style “kyle drag mixed greys” with 70% spacing, and added  patterned brush strokes in pink, blue and green in the background. I added an elephant shape with an iridescent  preset gradient, a boat with a solid red fill color, a blue star with a water pattern onto it, and I added a large  hexagon with my face on it by crea...

(MP2) Project 6A: Birthday Card

Image
Step 1   Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 4 Step 5 Final Product I started this project by downloading the happy birthday png and opening it with photoshop. I used the eyedropper tool to select the six primary rainbow colors from the happy birthday image, and saved them as swatches in a folder titled "Ezra". With these colors, I created a 3 color radial gradient with magenta, cyan and yellow titled "Ezra Gradient", and put it in the background of the happy birthday. I then created a brush using the "Splatter ktw 3 1" brush setting and making the spacing 20%. I used dark purple, green and cyan from my custom swatch folder and pained aesthetic lines in front of the gradient but behind the happy birthday image. I then created three shapes, a hexagon, rectangle and triangle. In the hexagon, I used my custom green swatch and filled it in completely; In the rectangle, I created a custom reflected gradient with my custom cyan combined with black and white; In the triang...

(MP2) Project 5B: AP Flyer Artboard

Image
Desktop   Instagram Phone Phone Firstly, I had the idea to do a classroom, and display all of the APs on the chalkboard. I went onto google and found a cartoonish classroom with a large chalkboard to fit all of the classes there. The next thing I did was add the title “AP Fair” to the chalkboard, and convert text to shape and free transform path for each letter to put it into a curved pattern. Then I added a white rectangle on the bookcase to serve as the base for a little blurb of text describing what APs I am taking next year. Following that, I added the date and time of the fair in red, so that the color would contrast with the off-white background and be easier to see. I then artificially extended the chalkboard below by making a new, mini chalkboard, which I put the additional information regarding the fair. One of the last steps was to add all of the APs into the central chalkboard, which took a bit of effort to make it look right with the text. I ended up settling on the two...
