(MP2) Project 5A: Flyer Remake

Image
I added a color overlay to the background layer to make it dark cyan, and added a black rectangle to cover all but the outside edges of it. Inside, I added a sky blue rectangle to be the background of the rest of the slide, and I added a masked image of a rocket on top of it. I then added a masked tree-line to the bottom and moved it to be behind the trees, and I masked an image of Carl from the movie Up and placed him inside of the rocket. I used a series of black and cyan rectangles to cover up errors in the borders and make sure the scene stayed inside of the box. Finally, I added a large title saying “ASR Rocket Group” in the font DIN Condensed, which serves as my overarching theme of the image, and a subtitle saying “Join Now” in Athelas font, serving as my call to action. My main takeaway is that using a bunch of small assets to perfect the image is a good idea and it is especially important to organize them by group. MP1 Reflection

Image
Over marking period one, I accomplished learning how to do the basics of Photoshop, and creating multiple projects using many different Photoshop elements. I learned now to use color, masking, text and the brush to a decent degree and am able to show my creative visions. I have completed all of the work assigned to me, however not always on time which is something I need to work on. I will demonstrate improvement in marking period two by coming to class more often to participate.

(MP1) Project 4: Slogan With Alter Graphics

Image
The subject of my poster is my friend Aiden, and the slogan I used is “Yearn to Learn”. My poster had 4 layers, the text layer, background layer and 2 overlays. For the background layer, I stretched the image to double its original width in order to fit the screen properly. For the blue glow, I moved it slightly down and put it over the background, changed the blending option to overlay and kept fill at 100% (tutorial 12). The green glow I put even further down and above the blue one, and also changed the blending option to overlay and kept fill at 100% (tutorial 12). For the text, I moved it to be in a curved parabolic pattern by converting text to shape and toggling free transform path for all the letters, and added a text color overlay to make it a bright magenta (text tutorial 11). My main takeaway is that it is important to separate the masked layers in order to orient them correctly and keep the layer list organ...

(MP1) Project 3: Phone Wallpaper

Image
I searched up the iPhone 14 pro max screen size to find the dimensions of my wallpaper. To make it, I added my favorite picture in the whole world as the background 3 times from top to bottom. I then added my name in a large Impact font on the front, converted text to shape and changed each letter to a free transform path so I can rotate it a certain way to look good (text tutorial 11). I excluded the overlapping areas to make it look more clean by going into the pathfinder properties tab, (text tutorial 11) and that was my finished product. My main takeaway is that certain letters pair better with the overlap than others.

(MP1) Project 2: Climate Strike Flyer

Image
I found a great image online to represent the effects of climate change which reduced the time the project took for me. For the graphics layer, I changed the temperature to +15, tint to -25 and vibrance to +45. I wanted to make a distinct section of what happens before and after climate change, and I used the text inside of the circle to represent safety (text tutorial 2), and the text being masked and engulfed by flames (text tutorial 4) as a representation of the destruction of our planet. Once I relearned how to mask text, it was relatively easy to make. My main takeaway is that font size is important when creating text to shape in order to make it look like a circle.

(MP1) Project 1: Selfie Collage

Image
For my collage, I used a picture of my schedule, my recent AP US History project, a selfie, a picture of my friends Simanto and Ronin, and a drawing I made in class. For layer 1, I changed the opacity to 70%; for layer 2, I moved it to the left and changed the contrast to 18 and brightness to 110; for layer 3, I moved it to the bottom of the screen and warped it to stretch sideways; for layer 4, I made the image pink, skewed it to the left and made it brighter; for layer 5, I used the curves feature to remove the pixelated aspect of the image, and turned it green. My process for creating the project was to create 5 distinct sections to represent different parts of my social and academic life at MCSM. I found the project easy to make because the pictures I wanted to use just came to me naturally. My main takeaways is that in order to create layers in the color you want, you need to separate the adjustment...

(MP1) Multimedia is...

Image
Multimedia is a collection of media put together in a way. It’s all put together to provide an experience for the user. Multimedia is a combination of various media to provide information, entertainment, or a means of communication. Multimedia is taking media, videos, photos, texts, and audio, etc., and combining it into an interactive experience for the user/viewer.
